Clinical and Certificate opportunities

The Patient Advocacy & Patient-Centered Care Clinical is a comprehensive interdisciplinary opportunity for 2nd and 3rd year law students and other graduate and professional students.  Students may begin studying during fall, spring, or summer semesters and are strongly encouraged to make at least a two semester commitment.  Applications for the summer and fall 2009 sessions are currently being accepted.

    Provide advocacy services to patients with life-threatening and serious chronic diseases

    Resolve financial and employment law related issues

    Insurance coverage, appeals and regulation

    Investigate public benefits and disability access issues

    Research diagnosis and treatment options

    Learn in an interdisciplinary, supportive environment

The Center also offers a 12- credit certificate in Consumer Health Advocacy.
