Applications are now being solicited for the Judicial Intern
Program for the spring semester of 2009. All second and third year
law students who have not previously participated in the program
are eligible. In short, the program allows students to earn law
school credit for work done in placements with state and federal
judges.
All students who are interested in participating in the Judicial
Intern Program during the spring semester of 2009 must attend a
meeting. The first informational meeting will be held on Wednesday,
Oct. 22, at 4:35 p.m. in Room 5223. Additional meetings will be
held on Monday, Oct. 27, at 8 a.m. in Lubar Commons -- Room
7200;and on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. in Lubar Commons -- Room
7200.
At the meetings, information will be provided about the program and
a written description and a list of participating courts will be
distributed. Applications will be available after the meetings.
Applications, with a short resume, are due no later than 4:30 on
Monday, Nov. 3. I hope to notify students of placements by Friday,
Nov. 7.
