Join the Moot Court Board!
The Omar Megahed Competition
Informational Meeting
7pm, Thursday, October 23, Room 5240
Each fall, second-year students can compete in an intramural
appellate advocacy competition in which competitors prepare and
present oral arguments from a pre-written brief. Depending on the
number of competitors, between two and four finalists are invited
to join the Moot Court Board. The winner of the Omar Megahed
Competition competes in the competition of winner’s choice (1^st
pick!) in the 3L year. This informational meeting will tell you
everything you need to know to prepare for the competition.
Omar Megahed took his Moot Court Board team to win the Chicago Bar
National Moot Court Competition in 1995. His spirit of excellence
is embodied in this competition.
