Biography


Jini Jasti serves as the Assistant Dean of Alumni Relations for the University of Wisconsin Law School and as the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Law Alumni Association (WLAA).

As the Assistant Dean of Alumni Relations, Jini Jasti works closely with the Dean and other key staff to foster closer connections of alumni to the University of Wisconsin Law School and to each other.  She serves as a creative point person in Alumni Relations to Admissions, Career Services, current students, and student organizations to better serve the current and future alumni.  Jini Jasti also assists with alumni publications and oversees the integrity of alumni contact information. 

As the Executive Director of Wisconsin Law Alumni Association, Jini Jasti oversees its financial matters and organizes the WLAA's board meetings and special events.

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Jini Jasti grew up in Northern Minnesota.  In 2000, she graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in political science.  She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.  While at the Law School , Jini Jasti co-founded the Wisconsin Asian Bar Association.  She received both the Bruce Beilfuss Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Service to the Law School and the Ray and Ethel Brown Award for Outstanding Scholarship and Service to the Law School and the Community.  Following Law School , Jini Jasti served as a clerk for the Honorable M. Joseph Donald of the Milwaukee Circuit Court.  Jini Jasti then practiced law with Kasdorf Lewis & Swietlik in Milwaukee , concentrating in insurance defense and civil litigation.
