Sumudu Atapattu presented "Climate change, human rights and justice: Sri Lanka's experience" at the Law School of the Kothalawala Defense University, Sri Lanka, on July 30, 2026.
In Spring 2026, Sumudu Atapattu received a grant to attend the Law & Society in South Asia conference, held July 28-29 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This was the first ever conference on law and society issues held in South Asia and was sponsored by University of Windsor, UW Law School and the Center for South Asia at Stanford University. In addition to chairing several sessions, Atapattu participated in two book panels.
