The Law Student Wellness Coalition at UW Law School has received the Jack DeWitt WisLAP Volunteer of the Year Award from the State Bar of Wisconsin. The student group formed last fall to promote law student health and wellness.

The annual award recognizes a lawyer, judge or group who has provided confidential, meaningful assistance, educational outreach or other volunteer service through the Wisconsin Lawyers Assistance Program (WisLAP). It is named for the late Jack DeWitt, a former state bar president, long-time WisLAP member, and a UW Law School alumni.
