The Dean's Office and the Institute for Legal Studies are pleased to invite you to attend a Faculty Exchange presentation, "Assumption of Flood Risk," by Alexander Lehman.

Professor Lemann joined the faculty of Marquette University Law School in 2017. His primary scholarly interests are in the fields of tort law, insurance and the environment, particularly the design of legal systems to address human responses to risk. His work has appeared in the Columbia Law Review, the Fordham Environmental Law Review, and the Georgetown Law Journal.

Before coming to Marquette, Professor Lemann was a research fellow at Georgetown University Law Center, where he taught an upper level seminar on tort theory, and practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. Before joining Sullivan & Cromwell, he clerked for Judge Denise L. Cote on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and Judge Marsha S. Berzon on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

The presentation is hosted by UW Law Professor Yaron Nili.
