University of Wisconsin Law School gets high marks for its practical training programming, receiving an ‘A’ in a recent comparison of the nation’s law schools.
The top schools were named in the Spring 2020 issue of preLaw magazine. In its ranking methodology, preLaw took into account clinics, externships, simulation courses, interschool competitions and other offerings, based on data from individual law schools and the American Bar Association.
UW Law School's wide range of experiential learning opportunities includes clinics in criminal and civil law, health care advocacy, and business law and entrepreneurship; externship placements with judges, state agencies and public interest organizations; moot court and mock trial programs; and simulation courses that prepare students for the real-life challenges of law practice.
