At the last minute, we have been able to arrange an afternoon photo exhibit at the Law School titled "Through Our Own Lenses." This is a series of 80 photographs by 8th and 9th grade kids living in the colonias of South Texas. It documents their families, communities and living conditions.

The photographs will be displayed on tables in the Atrium from 1-5 pm Thursday, March 22. There will be refreshments available from approximately 3:00 on. The "Through Our Own Lenses" project is created by the Southwest Texas State University. It is exhibited here through the support of Ken Davis and Bill Whitford, and the efforts of Jane Larson, Jim Loter and the Latino Law Students Association. More information about the project can be found on the web at http://www.swt.edu/HumanResources/LasColonias/ We also will be showing Hector Galan's fine film about the colonias, produced for PBS this year, titled "The Forgotten Americans."

You are all invited to see the show at any time during the afternoon.
