The UW's sixth annual workshop on Antitrust in Energy Markets will be held May 14 to 16, 2001 in Grainger Hall of the UW Business School. This year's topic is "Deregulation of Energy Markets: The Impact of Antitrust and Competition Policy." Co-sponsors of the workshop are the Law School and the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute at the School of Business.

This workshop is a course on antitrust laws and competition for attorneys and non-attorneys in industry and government.

Speakers are Law School Professor and Associate Dean Peter Carstensen; U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division trial attorney Jade Eaton; and Jerome A. Hochberg, who previously served for 12 years as a senior trial attorney in the Antitrust Division.

The registration deadline is May 4, 2001.
