Law School Professors Kathryn Hendley and Bernard Trujillo will join two other members of the University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty on Thursday, January 24 at the forum "The War on Terrorism: Lessons Learned? Challenges Ahead," to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in Room 3650 of the Mosse Humanities Building, 455 N. Park Street. The event, which is free and open to the public, will examine issues raised by the September terrorist attacks and the war in Afghanistan. Kathryn Hendley, professor of law and political science, will discuss democracy building and the rule of law. Bernard Trujillo, assistant professor of law, will speak on immigrants' rights and civil rights since September 11. Hemant Shah, professor of journalism and mass communication and ethnic studies, will discuss journalism and the war on terrorism. Joseph Elder, professor of sociology and director of the Center for South Asia, will speak on Afghanistan and South Asia.
