The UW's seventh annual workshop on Antitrust in Energy Markets will be held May 20 to 22 at the Fluno Center on the UW-Madison campus. This year's topic is "Deregulation of Energy Markets: The Impact of Competition Policy and Antitrust." Co-sponsors of the workshop are the Law School and the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute at the School of Business. Peter Carstensen, the Law School's Young-Bascom Professor of Law, and Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development, will be one of the workshop speakers. He will be joined by Jade Eaton, trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division's Transportation, Energy and Agriculture section, and Jerome Hochberg, who previously served twelve years as senior trial attorney of the Antitrust Division and continues to be involved in important antitrust litigation. The course is recommended for energy executives, attorneys, regulatory agency staff, legislative staff, and others.
