Two J.D. advisers, Kristin Davis and Ingrid Borwick, have been hired by the Law School's Office of Career Services to increase the staff available to provide career counseling for law students. Ingrid Van Zon Borwick is a graduate of Boston College with a degree in mathematics, and graduated cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University in 1992. Following graduation, Ingrid joined Frontier Insurance Group, Inc., a publicly traded property and casualty insurance company headquartered in New York. As a member of Frontier's in-house law firm, Ingrid litigated in the areas of medical and dental malpractice, general liability and insurance law. Additionally, Ingrid served as Director of Corporate Services, where she was responsible for a wide range of employee services and the operation of Frontier's facilities in 40 locations throughout the United States. Ingrid, her husband John, and their two sons recently moved from New York to Madison and are enjoying life in the Midwest. Kristin Davis received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in German from the University of Iowa. She graduated Order of the Coif from Washington University School of Law in 1993. Following graduation, Kristin clerked for Justice Linda Neuman of the Iowa Supreme Court and then practiced securities law and general litigation at Smith Lodge & Schneider in Chicago from 1994 to 1998. From 1999 until May of 2002, Kristin was an Assistant Director of Career Services at Harvard Law School, where she was responsible for general career counseling as well as advising students and graduates on judicial clerkships, fellowships and law teaching. Both new J.D. advisers are already on the job and available to help students identify and pursue their post-graduation career paths.
