Professor David Schwartz has been nominated for the University of Wisconsin-Madison's selective Distinguished Teaching Award by the UW Law School's student chapter of the National Lawyers' Guild.

The students' nomination statement commended Schwartz's "creative and inspiring efforts in the classroom and his commitment to the professional and personal development of students."

Schwartz joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin Law School in Fall 1999.  His field of specialization is labor law.  His scholarly interests focus on workers? rights and the law of the workplace, civil rights and constitutional law.
