Third-year law student Jessica Shoemaker has been selected by the Association of Women Lawyers to receive its 2003-04 scholarship, awarded each year to one student at the University of Wisconsin Law School and one student at Marquette University.
The award recognizes both academic success and a commitment to community service, both to the law school community and beyond.
The AWL award was presented formally to Ms. Shoemaker in September in Milwaukee.
