The Indigenous Law Students Association (ILSA) of the University of Wisconsin Law School is hosting the 18th Annual Coming Together of Peoples Conference on April 2nd and 3rd at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Madison.

For the past seventeen years, ILSA has hosted a legal conference surrounding important Native American legal issues and current legal events. The Conference brings in nationally renowned panelists, from prominent academics to Indian Law practitioners.  Friday's conference schedule will address National Developments in Indian Law from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Indian Law in Wisconsin, 1994-2004 from 1- 4 p.m.  Saturday's morning session will discuss Indian Tax Law from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

A banquet will follow Friday's conference events, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Hotel.  This year's banquet speaker is Aurene Martin, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Indian Affairs and a member of the UW Law School's Class of 1993.

Tickets will be on sale Monday, March 29 through Wednesday, March 31 in the Law School Atrium from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.  Student tickets are available for $10; general admission tickets are $20.  Seating is limited so purchasing early is recommended.

The Conference is being held in conjunction with the all-day Pow Wow to take place at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Sunday, April 4.
