The Career Services Office and the University of Wisconsin Law School's Public Interest Law Foundation (UW-PILF) announce the success of this year's Summer Public Service Fellowship  Program.  A total of 41 UW Law students have received awards of funding to enable them to accept jobs in public interest organizations throughout the country and internationally.

Money for summer grants is raised by PILF through several different events, including Race Judicata, an annual student-sponsored community run, and Pledge-a-Day, in which students who have summer law firm jobs pledge one day of their salaries to UW-PILF.  A substantial part of the funding for this year's SPSF program came from the Law School with additional contributions from the East Asian Legal Studies Center and individual employers who contribute through the federal work-study program.

The number of students who will be supported by this year's expanded summer fellowship program doubles the number of grants that were awarded by UW-PILF last year.  The following is a list of some of the organizations that will benefit from student assistance made possible through the SPSF program:
