This fall, the University of Wisconsin Law School will continue its long-standing tradition of hosting scholars from Germany who teach European law, in connection with the Law School's exchange program with Germany's University of Giessen.

Professor Thomas Raiser, of Humboldt University (formerly of Giessen), will teach Corporate Governance and Capital Market Regulation in the United States and Europe.  In addition to his interests in corporate law, Professor Raiser has research interests in Law And Morality from a Sociological Point of View.  He was one of the faculty members involved in initiating the Giessen exchange program several years ago.

Professor Richard Giesen, of the University of Giessen, will teach a section on European Labor Law, including subjects such as employment contract law, employees? co-determination rights, social security, and conflict of labor laws.
