This fall, a group of students at the UW Law School, in collaboration with Professor Gordon Smith, have created and launched the Web log (blog) Law & Entrepreneurship News.

Professor Smith specializes in corporate and securities law, with a particular emphasis on entrepreneurial businesses and venture capital. The blog will provide links and commentary on recent developments relating to law and entrepreneurship, and it will track judicial, legislative, regulatory, transactional, and scholarly developments relating to specific business topics. Each of these topics will be the primary responsibility of a student editor, who will research and write the blog entries.

This unique (and still experimental) blog is designed partly as a public service for those who are interested in staying current on a number of the fast-changing areas of law and partly as an educational experience for law students who hope to serve entrepreneurial firms after graduation. Law & Entrepreneurship can be found at http://entrepreneur.typepad.com/news/.

This is the second blog to be launched at the Law School this fall. The other is the UW Law Library's WisBlawg, one of the first blogs in the nation created by a library. WisBlawg offers legal research and Internet news, with an emphasis on Wisconsin. WisBlawg can be found at http://wisblawg.blogspot.com/.
