The East Asian Legal Studies Center at the University of Wisconsin Law School has been awarded a grant of $12,800 by the U.S.-China Legal Cooperation Fund to support the Advanced Program in Judicial Administration, which the Center is undertaking jointly with the Shanghai High People's Court.
The award is to be supplemented by the Shanghai High People's Court and will allow two judges from Shanghai to participate in a specially designed, four-month program of study and internships in Madison.
The East Asian Legal Studies Center is working to find funding to make the Advanced Program in Judicial Administration a permanent part of the expanding interaction between China's legal community and the University of Wisconsin Law School.
