UW law professor Martha E. (Meg) Gaines has been selected one of six women from the Madison community to receive the 2005 Women of Distinction award from the Madison YWCA. Gaines is director of the Center for Patient Partnerships, an award-winning interdepartmental program based at the UW Law School that helps individuals with life-threatening illnesses and their families access the services and support they need.
This is the 31st year that the Madison YWCA has conferred the Women of Distinction awards.
Gaines and the five other honorees received their awards formally on May 17 at the Concourse Hotel.
