Dean Davis will be the featured speaker on April 13, 2005, at the UW's Chicago Founders Day Event, sponsored by the Wisconsin Alumni Association. The event, on a Wednesday evening (5:30 to 8:30 p.m.), will be held at the law firm of Gardner, Carton and Douglas (191 North Wacker Drive, Chicago). Dean Davis will speak on "Corporate Governance: Be Careful What You Wish For."

The Wisconsin Alumni Association's Founders Day event commemorates the founding of UW-Madison. Each year local alumni clubs, like the one in Chicago, bring Badger grads together and feature a UW-Madison faculty member, dean, or other distinguished university personality. The very active Chicago Chapter of the Alumni Association is one of the largest in the country.

The Founders Day Event provides an opportunity for alumni to connect with Chicago-area classmates and also to meet graduates of many of the other UW-Madison schools and colleges who are living and working in Chicago.

For event details and registration information, go to www.uwalumni.com/chicago .

The cost of the event is $45 ($40 for WAA members). The RSVP deadline is April 8.
