The University of Wisconsin Law School Legal Education Opportunities (LEO) program is featured in an article in the Wisconsin Law Journal?s edition of April 6, 2005.Prominent LEO graduates including Michelle Behnke, President of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and Justice Louis B. Butler Jr., the first African-American justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, share reflections on participating in the program during their years as UW law students.
The article highlights the growth and continued successes of the LEO program since its inception in 1967.LEO, which has been used as a model for organizations nationwide, is a program for the recruitment, retention and success of law students of color at the UW Law School.
