"Humanitarian Intervention After 9/11," the Wisconsin International Law Journal’s 2006 symposium, will be held Friday, March 31, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 2260 of the University of Wisconsin Law School. The event is free and open to the public, with registration recommended (e-mail to uwsymp@gmail.com).

Issues to be discussed will include:

What lessons were learned from Rwanda and Bosnia?

How have the war on terrorism and the war in Iraq changed the terms of the debate over the use of military force to stop genocide?

Why has the international response to the crisis in Darfur been so ineffective?
