University of Wisconsin Law School clinical professors Gretchen Viney and Marsha Mansfield have both won election to positions with the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Viney, who is Associate Director of the Law School’s Lawyering Skills Program, was re-elected to a second term as State Bar Secretary, defeating Micabil Diaz Martinez by a vote of 3,141 to 1,487. 

Mansfield, Director of the Family Court Assistance Project, was elected to the Board of Governors, representing District 9.   For the 2005-06 year, Mansfield has been President of the Dane County Bar Association.  Her term comes to a close in June 2006.

Mansfield and Viney will begin their State Bar terms on July 1, 2006.
