James D. Miller, a May 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, has researched and drafted a report on jury reform in Wisconsin that was recently distributed to Wisconsin judges, justices, and other court officials.

The report examines Wisconsin jury practices to evaluate how well the state courts have implemented American Bar Association standards on juror use and management. It also explores how jury reforms being tested across the nation are being used in Wisconsin.

Miller wrote the report as a directed research project for Law School Professor David Schultz, Associate Dean for Continuing Legal Education and Outreach.

The report can be found at www.wicourts.gov/about/pubs/circuit/docs/juryreform.pdf.
