The University of Wisconsin Law School Latina/o Law Students Association, UW chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, and Community Action on Latin America will welcome Patricia Cervantes to Madison on Saturday, September 30, 2006.
Cervantes is involved in Justicia Para Nuestras Hijas (Justice for our Daughters), an organization of women whose daughters have died on the border of the United States and Mexico in the area of Chihuahua and Juarez. She will speak about her personal experiences with the ongoing femicide occurring on the border. A representative of Mexico Solidarity will also participate in the presentation.
