The University of Wisconsin Law School Indigenous Law Students Association (ILSA) will present its 21st annual Coming Together of Peoples Conference from March 22 to 24, 2007. All panels will be held in Room 2260 of the Law School (Godfrey & Kahn Hall) with a cocktail reception March 22 and banquet March 23, both at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison.

Panel discussion topics will include Gaming Regulation in Indian Country; Community Development; Labor Relations in Indian Country; Justiciability and Tribal Courts in Wisconsin; Re-emergence of Indigenous Justice; and the American Indian Probate Reform Act.

Speakers will include UW Law School alumnae Stacy Leeds, LL.M. ‘00, professor of law at Kansas State University and the first woman to serve on the Cherokee Supreme Court; Amanda Rockman ‘05, Associate Judge of the Ho-Chunk Nation Trial Court in Black River Falls, Wisconsin; and Skadden Fellow Samantha Webb Kading ‘05.
