University of Wisconsin Law School Professor David Schwartz accepted an invitation from the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee to testify June 12, 2007, at the Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law hearing on "Mandatory Binding Arbitration Agreements: Are They Fair for Consumers?"

Schwartz has litigated and researched mandatory arbitration issues since the mid-1990s. He is the author of six articles and book chapters, has spoken at numerous professional and academic conferences, and has written several amicus curiae briefs on the subject.
