University of Wisconsin Law School students Kelly Anderson and Rachel Abhold have been named winners of the Association of Women Lawyers (AWL) scholarships for 2007, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and significant contributions to the Law School community and community at large.

Abhold and Anderson will each receive a scholarship of $2,500. Abhold is the recipient of the AWL Foundation Scholarship, and Anderson has been selected for the AWLF Virginia Pomeroy Scholarship.

The Milwaukee-based Association for Women Lawyers provides mentoring for new attorneys and engages in extensive pro bono work and community involvement. The Association awards two scholarships to outstanding women law students at Marquette University and the UW Law School each year.
