Your Consumer Rights, a manual produced by the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Consumer Law Clinic (CLC) in both Spanish and English, has been published in its third edition.

The manual, written by CLC students, covers a variety of topics, including automobile purchases, abusive debt-collection practices, credit reports, banks and credit unions, payday lenders, fraudulent sales and advertising, health insurance claim denials, cell phones, utilities, and consumer services like health clubs and prize solicitations.

The manual will be distributed to neighborhood-based organizations, non-profits, and other agencies serving consumers. Clinic students will also distribute the manual when they conduct community outreach programs on consumer rights at community centers.

Anyone interested in acquiring a copy may contact Brenda Balch at the Consumer Law Clinic, (608) 262-5827.
