The second annual all-day Faces of Advocacy Conference presented by the Children’s Justice Project of the UW Law School will bring leading experts to focus on the theme "Education, Kids and the Law" on March 28, 2008, at Memorial Union on the UW-Madison campus.
Scheduled speakers include Dean Julie Underwood of the University of Wisconsin School of Education and Attorney Jeffrey Spitzer-Resnick of Disability Rights Wisconsin, as well as participants in the panel "Translating Research into Practice": Madison School District Superintendent Art Rainwater, Attorney Joanne Harmon Curry of Lathrop & Clark LLP, and Professor Julie Mead of the UW School of Education.
This year’s topic was selected to reflect the growing practice of Education Law and, in particular, issues related to Special Education.
Continuing Legal Education credits are approved. Registration is free up to March 8 for those not applying for CLE credits.
