The University of Wisconsin Law School is the co-sponsor of the 14th annual conference of the Institute for Law and Economic Policy (ILEP), to be held April 10-11, 2008, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Naples, Florida. The yearly conclave is widely considered to be the principal annual conference for securities and corporate law litigators.
Papers from the conference, "The Continuing Evolution of Securities Class Actions," will be published in the Wisconsin Law Review. Plans are under way to repeat the conference in Madison in Fall 2008.
Speakers at the Florida event from the Law School will include Dean Kenneth B. Davis, Jr., Professor Marc Galanter, and Adjunct Professor Keith Johnson, a partner at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C. and Program Director of the Wisconsin International Corporate Governance Initiative (WICGI) based at the Law School.
As a program of the UW Law School, the conference will be recognized for CLE credits in most states. Joining the UW Law School as co-sponsors of the conference are ILEP and Citizens Bank.
For more information and a registration form, see the conference materials at www.ilep.info .
