The University of Wisconsin Law School’s 39th Annual LEO Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the Concourse Hotel in Madison.

Hosting the banquet will be the newest student group to be part of the Legal Education Opportunities program: the Middle Eastern Law Student Association (MELSA).

The banquet’s keynote speaker will be The Honorable William J. Haddad of Chicago’s Cook County Circuit Court, the first Arab-American full circuit court judge in Cook County.

The registration deadline for the event, which costs $35 per person for non-students and $20 for students, is April 2, 2008. Registration can be done online at www.wisconsinlawalumni.com . (Within the law building, registration can be done with a MELSA student in the atrium.)

The banquet will begin with pre-dinner drinks and socializing from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by dinner at 7. The Concourse Hotel is located at One South Dayton Street in downtown Madison, one block off the Capitol Square.
