On April 4-6, 2008, the Wisconsin Film Festival will present three provocative films exploring illness as a transformational process. On Sunday, April 6, at 1 p.m. at Monona Terrace, the staff and students of the UW Law School’s Center for Patient Partnerships (CPP) will hold a free public forum, using the films as a starting point for discussing practical strategies to more effectively navigate the U.S. health care system.

The three films are Crazy Sexy Cancer, Indestructible, and Terra Incognita: Mapping Stem Cell Research. All three films document the experiences of individuals who reacted to serious illness with life-changing decisions to act.

For information about the films and the times and locations of their screenings, see the CPP Web site, www.patientpartnerships.org .
