Abby Sanford Capper has joined the University of Wisconsin Law School as Director of Development, following an extensive search and interview process among highly-qualified candidates conducted by the UW Foundation.

Ms. Sanford Capper, most recently the Marketing Operations Manager for the UW-Madison Department of Executive Education, earned a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., majoring in economics. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in economics at the University of Michigan, and returned to Washington to work in numerous capacities as an analyst and consultant.

“I am truly excited to be joining the Law School community, and I look forward to meeting with alumni who are thinking about giving back to the school that was the foundation of their careers,” Ms. Sanford Capper told the law faculty when she was introduced at their April meeting. “This is such a good time to step up and make a difference for the students and the Law School itself.”

Ms. Sanford Capper started working in her new position in April 2008, succeeding former Director of Development Ann Flynn, who took a position with a private foundation.
