University of Wisconsin Law School Professor John Kidwell is one of 25 prominent national law professors and legal scholars to be included in the documentary The Trials of Law School, created by filmmaker Porter Heath Morgan, a 2004 graduate of the University of Oklahoma Law School.

The film provides an in-depth look at eight University of Oklahoma law students with different backgrounds and expectations as they go through their first year of law school, encountering a new language, new way of thinking, and new way of life.

"I was generally impressed with the film," Kidwell comments. "I thought it captured many of the concerns of first-year students, and I enjoyed the portrayal of the diverse nature of most law school student bodies."

Kidwell adds, "After seeing the film, I feel honored to have been interviewed. I actually found some of the supplementary material -- the added subjects -- as interesting as the principal narrative."

The UW Law Library has a DVD of the film available for borrowing.
