Recent graduates of the University of Wisconsin Law School have accepted positions as professors of law both in the United States and abroad.
The Law School’s two graduating William H. Hastie Fellows will begin teaching in Fall 2008, Osamudia James at the University of Miami and Laura Cisneros at Texas Southern University.
Naoki Kanaboshi, who is receiving his S.J.D. (Doctor of Juridical Science), has accepted a position in East Carolina University's Department of Criminal Justice.
Another S.J.D. graduate, Yan Lin, will begin teaching at Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Dae Hee Lee and Yong Jae Kim, both of whom earned Master of Legal Institutions (M.L.I.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees as well as S.J.D. degrees at Wisconsin, have accepted teaching positions at Korea University.
Song Guk Kim, who earned LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees at Wisconsin, will begin a teaching position at Hanyang University in Korea.
Won Seog Park, who earned M.L.I, LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees, has started a new teaching job at Chang-An University in Seoul.
News of other Hastie Fellows includes the move of Donald Tibbs to teach at the newly established law school at Drexel University in Philadelphia, while Michelle Goodwin is moving to Minneapolis to teach at the University of Minnesota, where she has been named to an endowed chair.
