After a battery of competitive writing tasks in the Wisconsin Law Review’s Fall Write-On for 2008, offers were extended to four students to join the journal’s Class of 2010. The new members are Dustin C. Haskell, Nathan C. Johnson, Everett D. Mitchell, and Anna V. Short.
"While typically one or two Fall participants receive offers," comments Wisconsin Law Review Editor-in-Chief Gretchen Cleveland, "this year four exceptional students met the challenge. The Wisconsin Law Review is pleased to welcome them to the journal."
The Fall Write-On was established to give part-time and transfer students the opportunity to try out for the journal staff. Applicants must compose a brief Case Note, write three Personal Statements, and complete two Bluebook exercises over two weeks, all while attending classes and in many cases, participating in On Campus Interviewing.
Fall participants' scores are compared with those from the Spring Write-On, and Fall participants ranking within the top forty scores across both Write-Ons are extended offers to join the Law Review.
