Yuanyuan Shen, who earned her S.J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1998, will return to Madison to deliver the talk "From Plan to Market: The Development of China's Food Safety Law" in Room 2260 of the Law School at noon on Thursday, October 30, 2008.
Shen is a Lecturer in Economics at Brandeis University and a Lecturer in Law at Harvard Law School. Before receiving her doctoral degree from Wisconsin, she graduated from the People's University in Beijing and Harvard Law School.
Shen’s talk will be free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Center for World Affairs and the Global Economy (WAGE), and co-sponsored by the Global Legal Studies Center, Wisconsin Project on Governance and Regulation, Food Research Institute, Center for Human Performance and Risk Analysis, and East Asian Legal Studies Center.
