R. Alta Charo, Professor of Law and Bioethics at the University of Wisconsin Law School, has recently completed several national projects in the field of bioethics and health care.

Charo co-authored one in a series of perspective pieces published by the New England Journal of Medicine as part of a month-long "Election 2008" series on health policy choices. See http://content.nejm.org/cgi/content/full/359/18/1869 .

Charo appeared on National Public Radio’s "Talk of the Nation" discussing so-called "conscience clauses," and also completed her expert witness testimony on the same topic for the federal court case of Stormans vs. Selecky, now in litigation in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington.
