"The Ethics of Addiction, Mental Health, and Other Troubles Facing Attorneys," a three-hour ethics program for attorneys and law students, will be presented Saturday, December 6, 2008, by the Resource Center on Impaired Driving at the UW Law School in cooperation with the Wisconsin State Bar Lawyer Assistance Program (WisLAP) and the Dane County Bar Association.

The event will take place in Room 3250 of the Law School from 9 a.m. to noon (coffee and rolls provided). The program has been submitted for approval for CLE credit.

Speakers will include three attorneys from the WisLAP program: Larraine McNamara on the importance of balancing work and life; Marc McCrory on alcohol, drugs, and the risk of OLR involvement; and John Lohmann on mental health challenges for attorneys.

Registration is required. The program fee is $50, with the fee waived for students (but not the registration). A registration form is available online at http://www.law.wisc.edu/rcid/events/ .
