University of Wisconsin Law School students Erin Page Fitzgerald and Amy McGann have been named winners of the Association of Women Lawyers (AWL) scholarships for 2009, in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and significant contributions to the Law School community and community at large.
                                
McGann and Fitzgerald will each receive a scholarship of $2,500. Fitzgerald will receive the Association for Women Lawyers Foundation (AWLF) Scholarship and McGann has been selected to receive the AWLF Pomeroy Scholarship.

The Milwaukee-based AWL provides mentoring for new attorneys and engages in extensive pro bono work and community involvement. The Association awards two scholarships to outstanding women law students at Marquette University and the UW Law School each year.

Fitzgerald and McGann will receive their scholarships at the AWL Annual meeting in Milwaukee on September 24, 2009.
