University of Wisconsin Law School students Darin Achilles and Davin Widgerow advanced to the Semi Final Round of the 16th Annual Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition in October 2009 at the American University Washington College of Law.
Davin Widgerow also was named Second Best Oralist among the 64 competitors (32 teams).
Both Widgerow and Achilles are second-year law students.
The team’s coach was third-year student Ashley Senary, who commented, “Our team represented itself extremely well, and received numerous compliments from both judges and their fellow competitors, particularly in the round in which they were defeated – a close call by all accounts.”
The UW Law School’s Moot Court Program conducts a full schedule of preparation and practice for numerous competitions nationwide.
