Lipson interviewed for story on Lehman bankruptcy

When the Wall Street Journal went looking for expert commentary on the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy report, the Journal turned to the UW Law School.

Alumnus and Professor Jonathan Lipson (B.A. 1986, J.D. 1990) was quoted in Matt Phillips' article about the so-called "Valukas Report."

Anton Valukas was the court-appointed examiner tapped to explain what went wrong at the failed investment bank Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Professor Lipson, who recently published an article about bankruptcy examiners in the American Bankruptcy Law Journal, was a natural choice for expert commentary.

In the Wall Street Journal article, Lipson concludes that reports such as the "Valukas Report" are particularly important in high-profile cases like the Lehman bankruptcy.
