  1. The 2019 Diploma Privilege Information Flyer from the Wisconsin Supreme Court Board of Bar Examiners has been placed in your hang file. Please note: The online application is not yet available (see #5 below).
  2. December 15, 2018 is the initial deadline for the bar admission application for May 2019 graduates.
  3. Absolute Deadline: May 2019 graduates must file a bar admission application with the WI Board of Bar Examiners (BBE) no later than July 1, 2019, or may lose the opportunity for Diploma Privilege admission.
  4. The BBE has asked that all graduating students be reminded that on the Diploma Privilege Information & Filing Instructions, at the top of page two, are some specific guidelines. They must be read and exactly followed for an application to be considered filed.
  5. The 2019 Diploma Privilege Applicant Questionnaire and Affidavit will be available online at https://www.wicourts.gov/services/attorney/bar.htm in October. Currently that page has the 2018 application; the Registrar will notify you when the 2019 is available. All applications must be filed online. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the Dianne Dillman at the BBE at (608) 261-2351.
  6. BBE staff will be here on Thursday, November 1, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Atrium, to answer questions about the application process.
  7. The UW Law School May graduates’ swearing-in ceremony before the Wisconsin Supreme Court is set for Wednesday, May 29, 2019 (times to be announced). To be eligible, in addition to completing all degree and Diploma Privilege course requirements, your BBE application process must be complete. Note that there can be a several month interval between submission of your application and its being deemed complete by the BBE.
