Workshops Writing Persuasive Sentences This workshop shows you how to adapt and bend the rules about clear sentence structure to create sentences that emphasize key points. These techniques are particularly useful for writing persuasive statements of fact, but also apply to argument sections. Monday, February 20, at 1:20 in room 3247 Wednesday, February 22, at 12:05 in room 3260 Writing Techniques for Persuasive Emphasis This workshop shows you how word choice, sentence structure, and paragraph organization techniques can work together to emphasize favorable facts and minimize unfavorable ones. Although the techniques apply equally in the argument, the examples and focus in this workshop will mostly be related to fact statements.
