Professors Dave and Louise Trubek are seeking a research assistant for academic year 2006-7 to provide assistance for the Wisconsin Project in Governance and Regulation (WISGAR). WISGAR studies new forms of regulatory governance in the US and in other countries and works with agencies in Wisconsin. Currently, the project is emphasizing reform of regulation in the areas of health care and the environment. For further information on the project, go to http://www.law.wisc.edu/ils/wisgar/ The position is for 12-15 hours a week for both the Fall and Spring semesters and pays the standard law school hourly rate. The position includes the following tasks: a) Conducting research on regulatory reform in the United States. b) Providing administrative support for workshops on state-based innovation and health care governance in the US and elsewhere. c) Participating in the fall seminar on Selected Programs in Administrative Law: Regulatory Reform and related contacts with state agencies. d) Helping maintain the WISGAR website on the Law School site. The position is open to rising 1Ls and 2Ls and to graduate students who have sufficient background in regulation.
