Mark Sidel discussed the challenges to and restrictions faced by Chinese philanthropy and civil society during an online forum convened by the Intellisia Institute at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China on Sept. 1, 2022. Under current circumstances in China, these events are relatively rare opportunities to speak with Chinese colleagues on complex issues.
