Biography
Bridget Lavender is a Staff Attorney with the State Democracy Research Initiative. Bridget joined the SDRI after completing a two-year Skadden Fellowship with the ACLU's State Supreme Court Initiative, where she focused on litigating civil rights and state constitutional claims in state courts. Prior to that, Bridget completed clerkships on the Utah Supreme Court and in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
Bridget received her JD magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. During law school, she was an Executive Editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and the Co-President of the Equal Justice Foundation. She also completed internships with the Homeless Advocacy Project, Women's Law Project, ACLU of Pennsylvania, Center for Reproductive Rights, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
